Alpine Accelerates Its Future With New Performance Platform and Next-Generation A110

French performance brand Alpine is preparing for the most ambitious expansion in its history. As part of Renault Group’s broader strategic roadmap, the sports-car manufacturer has unveiled plans for a new generation of performance vehicles built on a dedicated electric architecture known as the Alpine Performance Platform (APP).

The announcement marks a major milestone for the brand as it transitions toward an electrified future while maintaining the driving DNA that has defined Alpine since its founding in 1955 by Jean Rédélé.

With strong sales momentum and an expanding product lineup, Alpine aims to establish itself as the leading French sports specialty brand in the world, combining advanced electric technology with the brand’s traditional focus on lightweight engineering and driver engagement.


Record Growth Fuels Alpine’s Expansion Plans


Alpine enters this new phase after achieving one of the strongest years in its history. The brand recently surpassed 10,000 global vehicle registrations for the first time, reaching 10,970 units sold.

This milestone signals strong demand for Alpine’s distinctive blend of lightweight sports-car engineering and motorsport heritage.

Today, the company’s lineup includes three models:

  • Alpine A110 – the brand’s iconic lightweight sports coupe

  • Alpine A290 – an electric hot hatch designed for a new generation of drivers

The platform will also incorporate 800-volt battery technology, enabling faster charging times and improved energy efficiency.

Central to the new platform is the Alpine Dynamic Model (ADM) ECU, which functions as the car’s central control system.

  • electric motor performance

  • steering and braking systems

  • active aerodynamics

By integrating these systems into a unified control structure, Alpine aims to deliver extremely precise vehicle responses while optimizing energy efficiency and overall driving dynamics.


Torque Vectoring and a Driver-Focused Experience


In keeping with Alpine’s focus on driving pleasure, the company has also developed Alpine Active Torque Vectoring (AATV).

This advanced system can adjust torque between the left and right wheels every 10 milliseconds, allowing the car to maximize traction and cornering performance.

The result should be a driving experience that maintains the brand’s traditional lightweight feel despite the additional mass typically associated with electric vehicles.

Inside the cabin, Alpine is planning a Formula-1-inspired driving position, placing the driver low in the cockpit with a vertical steering wheel and easily accessible instrumentation.

Next-Generation Alpine A110 Confirmed


One of the most significant announcements in Alpine’s new strategy is the confirmation that the next generation of the A110 will be built on the Alpine Performance Platform.

Just as importantly for the brand’s heritage, the car will continue to be manufactured in Dieppe, France — the historic production site that has been central to Alpine’s identity for decades.

The Dieppe factory has produced the modern A110 since Alpine’s revival in 2017 and represents the birthplace of the brand itself.

By keeping production there, Alpine ensures continuity between its past, present and future.


Expanding Global Presence


Alpine’s ambitions extend beyond new vehicles.

The company has rapidly expanded its retail and brand-experience network, now operating 170 Alpine Stores across 25 markets worldwide.

These locations allow customers to explore Alpine’s vehicles, merchandise and services while benefiting from personalized support.

In addition to traditional retail spaces, Alpine has developed immersive brand environments known as Atelier Alpine, which combine showrooms with lifestyle experiences such as simulators, customization areas and hospitality spaces.

The first Atelier Alpine opened in Barcelona in 2024, followed by Paris in 2025. New locations are scheduled to open in Milan and London during 2026.

Another major initiative is La Piste Bleue, a dedicated brand experience center inaugurated in 2024. The facility offers driving programs and immersive experiences designed to bring customers closer to Alpine’s motorsport heritage.
